The research of Dr. Nicolas Cruz focuses on bioprocess digitalization, model-based tools for biotechnology and biopharma, High Throughput Bioprocess Development, and self driving biolabs. In the recent years his research has pushed the integration of model-based methods and High Throughput experiments to accelerate bioprocess development. The work of the group is driven by the belief that robotic systems require sophisticated AI tools, models, and algorithms to fully harness their potential in bioprocess development and biomanufacturing.
