Julien Thebing

Julien Thebing completed his BSc in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Osnabrück, focusing on Salmonella entericavirulence and ultrastructural analysis, and later completed his MSc in Microbiology at FU Berlin. During his MSc, he worked at Son Espases Hospital (Palma, Spain) on multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin, studying antibiotic-biocide interactions. Currently, as a PhD student in the Schreiber group at BAM, in collaboration with FSU Jena, he is investigating efflux-driven antimicrobial resistance evolution in bacterial biofilms.
