Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Federal Republic of Germany as of September 1, 2021. He holds a degree in economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, and two master's degrees: one in International Economics and Development from Yale University, in the United States, and another in Operations Management from the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

His professional experience includes the Mexican public sector and the private sector, in Mexico and Germany. He began his professional career at the Ministry of Commerce and Industrial Development (now the Ministry of Economy) in international trade. In the private sector, he was a director and collaborator of companies in the steel sector dedicated to international sales and purchases, development of global value chains, logistics and financing.

Before being appointed Ambassador of Mexico to Germany, he served as Undersecretary of Mining in the Ministry of Economy. In this capacity he promoted public policies that favor safe and well-paid work, transparency and accountability with communities, protection of the environment and the rule of law.
