Ann-Kathrin Meß completed her Master's degree in Molecular Life Science at the University of Lübeck and is pursuing her PhD research at the Schmidt-Bleek lab at the Julius Wolff Institute of the Berlin Institute of Health @ Charité in Berlin. Her research evolves around how immune cells contribute to successful or not-so-successful bone fracture healing. She is particularly interested in understanding how immune cell identity is altered after bones break, what impact this has on the healing outcome and how our immune system can be turned into a helpful tool to help fracture patients.
