Martina, originally from Italy, earned her master’s degree in Space Engineering in Rome. Driven by her curiosity about the universe, she transitioned into physics, completing a PhD focused on techniques to study gravitational waves for the upcoming space-based mission, the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA). Passionate about her research, she is also an avid traveler and sports enthusiast, always seeking new experiences. This adventurous spirit led her to take on the challenge of moving to Germany for her current postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam, where she works on data analysis for LISA. Martina’s work revolves around a profound question: understanding the universe through the analysis of data containing signals of gravitational waves, blending a touch of romanticism and philosophy in her search for answers.
