SUELO Workshop

In the SUELO workshop we will engage with the places of your choice through guided meditations followed by reflection, writing + mapping exercises. In the face of the complexities we face in the world today, it is important as ever to connect deeply with the places we inhabit and care for the most. The more we know a place and all its inhabitants, the more we are embedded in it, love it, feel a sense of response-ability and reciprocity with it/them. As we connect deeper with place, possible regenerative futures emerge and our roles within those ecosystems blossom in their full power. 

For over ten years and in different geographies —from rural Panama to Mallorca, I have been developing SUELO (soil) as a practice to  that consists of discovering the deep time, the current ecologies and possible futures of a place; connecting with the land, its stories and its people. SUELO is a methodology designed to reconnect with the places we inhabit, through the concept, metaphor and materiality of soil as sustenance, home, land and territory. It seeks to rearticulate the natural and cultural value of a selected place, create networks of collaborative solidarity, and promote regenerative practices of collective co-creation for a better present and future.
