Laughing Matter - Science Meets Comedy
Laugh and learn with this unique performance combining real science with hilarious improvised comedy! The antidote to boring scientific lectures, this event will have you going 'A ha!' and 'hahaha'.
Our guest scientist will have 15 minutes to give a talk on their research at a level understandable for any audience.
Following this a team of improvisers will improvise comedic scenes inspired by this talk, transforming serious science into utter nonsense for your entertainment. The audience also has the opportunity to ask our scientist questions - in the spirit of the event no question is too silly!!
Come join in the fun and leave the venue knowing more about one or two particular scientific fields of research than you did before. Unless you are a scientist then we can’t guarantee you won’t somehow know less.
Improvised means made up on the spot! Therefore, this is once in a lifetime performance that will never be seen again (for better or worse!)
Buying a ticket in advance is recommended. Performance includes a 15 minute interval.
