DahlemTour Berlin: On the trail of Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein is probably the most famous of all Nobel Prize laureates – and almost certainly the most famous scientist of the 20th century. In 1922 he receives the Nobel Prize in Physics, retroactively for the his 1921 research — but his theory of relativity had already made him an international star well before that.
After spells in Zurich and Prague, Einstein is appointed to the Prussian Academy of Sciences in Berlin in 1914 and becomes Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physics there. Albert Einstein's work in Berlin made scientific history. The father of the theory of relativity also spent a lot of time in Dahlem, where he continues to inspire today.
