Volker Seiler is an Associate Professor in Finance at ICN Business School (Berlin Campus) and a member of the CEREFIGE research laboratory at the University of Lorraine. He holds a PhD in finance from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and was awarded the Facultas Docendi in “Economics and Financial Management” pursuant to his Habilitation at Paderborn University.
Before joining ICN Business School in December 2022, Volker spent one year as Senior Researcher at Deutsche Bundesbank. Moreover, he gained extensive international experience as Associate Professor in Finance at EM Normandie and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University’s International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) as well as Visiting Research Professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business. During his time at IBSS, he also served in a dual role as Programme Director and Academic Director of the University’s largest executive education programme. Volker’s research interests cover topics at the intersection of finance and economics, with a recent focus on applied economics and commodity markets, rare earth elements in particular.
