Dr. Roxana Lazarescu works in the Office for Research and Transfer at the Konstanz University of Applied Sciences. She is responsible for research data management (RDM) consulting and training, as well as for the acquisition of EU third-party funding.

She has organized and conducted numerous onsite and online workshops on research data management. Until September 2025, she was a staff member in the joint project FORTH-BW (Research Data Management at Universities of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg), where she developed a train-the-trainer program and advanced the dissemination of project results through various events and networking activities, including her involvement in the European RDM community.

A particular focus of her work lies on the specific requirements of research data management at universities of applied sciences. She addresses the multidisciplinary nature of projects and the limited resources typical for UAS, which nevertheless aim to meet all standards of professional RDM practice.

Dr. Lazarescu got her PhD in Latin Studies from the University of Timișoara, specializing in historical methodology and linguistics. She is well versed in working across disciplinary boundaries. In Germany, she has worked for several years in didactics and higher education, and has completed further trainings in e-learning.
