Oleksandra Shumilova

Oleksandra Shumilova is an ecosystem ecologist and works as a postdoc at the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) in Berlin. Her research encompasses multiple directions related to dynamics, functioning and services of river systems including geomorphology, hydraulics and biodiversity of rivers and their floodplains; ecosystem ecology of intermittent rivers; and sustainability of water resources during and after armed conflicts.
