Former partner of an advertising agency, advisor to the Berlin Senator for Economic Affairs, head of marketing and strategy in an international telecommunications company, as well as publisher and venture capital consultant. Served as supervisory board member of NARVA AG (Treuhand Agency) and interim CEO in several enterprises.Retired since 2013 – reactivated through his engagement at Teufelsberg Berlin.National Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Association (1979–1982), Honorary Consul of Liberia (1979–2007), member of the SME Advisory Board of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and of several committees of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
