Georg Diez

Georg Diez is an author, curator, and thought leader at the intersection of culture, politics, and futures research.He is co-curator of Survival in the 21st Century (Deichtorhallen Hamburg, 2024) and former Editor-in-Chief and Strategy Director of THE NEW INSTITUTE. For many years, he has written for Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, FAZ, and Süddeutsche Zeitung. He is a Fellow of the Max Planck Society and of ProjectTogether, as well as a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University. He recently published the book Kipppunkte. On his Substack Survival in the 21st Century, he reflects on politics, technology, and society. He is the Curator of the School of Survival, which he is now further developing at Teufelsberg. He studied history and philosophy in Munich, Paris, Hamburg, and Berlin, and is a graduate of the German School of Journalism in Munich.
