Felix Sattler is Head Curator of the Tieranatomisches Theater at the ZfK – Center for Cultural Techniques, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. With more than twenty years of experience in the research, artistic, and administrative development of exhibitions and innovative public engagement formats, he has led the Tieranatomisches Theater since 2013. Under his direction, the institution has developed into a nationally recognised and internationally connected research and cultural centre. His curatorial practice develops research-driven exhibition formats that bring together contemporary art, material culture, scientific collections, and institutional narratives. His projects have addressed subjects such as the art and design history of unicellular algae, knowledge practices surrounding replicas, and postcolonial controversies around museums and human remains. Since 2024, his research has focused on inclusive, multisensory approaches to the deep sea and marine scientific collections through the project DEEP_ABILITIES, developed in close collaboration with blind and visually impaired participants.
