Eva Rohlfer is a benthic ecologist and PhD student at the CoastClim research centre in Finland, where she investigates how seafloor animals contribute to carbon cycling in coastal ecosystems. She studied Environmental Sciences and Biological Oceanography in Germany and spent a semester in Tromsø, Norway, focusing on Arctic ecology. Her research ranges from seafloor animals to deep-sea processes, with a current focus on coastal carbon cycling in the Baltic Sea. In addition to her academic work, she is also active in science communication.
