Doris Kaltenecker

Doris Kaltenecker is a Senior Scientist at Helmholtz Munich. After completing her PhD at the Medical University of Vienna, she focused her research on understanding metabolism in health and disease, with a particular interest in cancer-associated weight loss and obesity. Her work combines molecular biology, artificial intelligence, and advanced 3D imaging to investigate how diseases reshape the body across organs and tissues. By studying entire organs and even whole organisms, she aims to uncover hidden patterns that cannot be detected through traditional approaches.
