Dagmar Schürrer

Dagmar Schürrer is a digital artist working in the field of expanded animation and extended reality (XR) technologies. She creates hybrid experiences in which she links scientific concepts from biology and neuroscience with new technologies, translating them into poetic interpretations of human consciousness and its environmental entanglements. With intricate animations and spatial multimedia installations she creates contemplative spaces that invite reflection on the evolving relationship between technology and perception. Significant international presentations of her works include the New Contemporaries at the ICA London, the Moscow Biennale for Young Art, the Centre Pompidou Paris, Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin, Louvre Auditorium Paris, Transmediale Vorspiel in Berlin, Eunam Museum South Korea, Ars Electronica Linz, the Museum of Waste in Changsha, China, Belvedere21 Vienna, and Tate Modern London, UK. At IUNO, she supports and teaches in the field of digital media production and concept development.
