Charlotte Coosemans
- Berlin Science Week
Charlotte Coosemans engages in social processes with and in the arts. With her background in visual art and pedagogies, her focus lies on negotiating public spaces and access to social and cultural agency. She facilitates or collaborates in situated practices which are ongoing for several years. Her work includes audio walks with the collective “Barabern und Strawanzen” which bridge social distances. She moderates spaces for youth self-empowerment in art museums with the Network of Youth Panels in Art Institutions. As a community organiser she co-creatively shapes the geographies of neighbourhoods and connects humans, non-human agents and places. Hereby, her research interest lies in developing arts-based methodologies that open discursive spaces in order to collectively develop a shared practice.
