Carri Duncan’s career runs from the bench to the boardroom, anchored by one question: how do humans and institutions make better decisions in complex systems? Born and raised in Detroit, she earned her PhD in Neuroscience from ETH Zürich and conducted research at ETH and Novartis before moving into healthcare equity research and corporate finance at global banks, later serving as Vice President, Investor Relations at Bayer. Her expertise in leadership and capital markets strategy was refined through senior advisory roles at global consultancies and at her own firm, Karaktero. Today, as CEO of Paradigmatic Innovations Group, she leads the commercial application of three decades of Parmenides Foundation research on complex thinking, with a current focus on hybrid intelligence for high-stakes decisions. As a member of the Board of Trustees of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, she connects neuroscience and the civic power of the arts. She is an angel investor with the European Business Angels Network and Alma Angels, and a mentor to high-potential leaders.
Carri Duncan participated at the Female Science Talents International Spring Gathering 2023 and 2026.
