Angela is a Franco–Hong Kong architect and professor whose work connects design, ecology, materials, and participatory practice. Her studio, HAAU, which means fermentation in Cantonese, draws on her long-standing interest in transformation processes as transdisciplinary and transscalar agents between culture, nonhuman ecologies, the built environment, and materiality.

She develops projects at the intersections of living systems, research, and community engagement, exploring visible and invisible stories of infrastructure, energy, and materiality that shape our cities. As a research resident in the Planetary Transitions Programme (DAAD/RIFS/City of Potsdam), she investigates hidden energy infrastructures in Brandenburg’s heating transition, reimagining them as agents of urban metabolism. Her work brings forward poetic, bottom-up perspectives on energy, commons, collective futures, and the material lives of planetary urbanism.
