Charlie McCarthy

Charlie McCarthy is Managing Director of Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd., a leading supplier of state of the art container handling equipment worldwide.  Charlie has over 20 years professional experience having held various senior roles within the organisation since 2001. He is passionate about pioneering technologies in the areas of Automation and AI  to pursue increased efficiencies in container handling in ports and intermodal operations.  He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Ireland. He holds various qualifications including an 1:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering  having started his career as a Mechanical Automotive and Maintenance Fitting apprentice.
