Are you a university, research institution, science-based start-up, innovative business, a science engagement & science policy initiative, or an interdisciplinary science project in arts and culture? Join our mission to promote science and science engagement!

Guided by the leitmotif ‘Dare to Know’, we partner with organisations from all over the world to showcase scientific excellence, drive debate on the world’s great echallenges, and to find new, interactive, and fun ways to make science, research, and innovation accessible and engaging.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

There are three ways to participate in Berlin Science Week:

Organise an event at a time and location of your choice – online and hybrid options welcome

Create your physical event anywhere in Berlin and the world: at your headquarters, a rented space or in cooperation with a partner. Opt for an in-person, hybrid or digital event.

Become part of the CAMPUS, our festival centre at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, on 3–4 NOV

Choose one of our exhibition or event spaces at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin and organise a format under the motto “Dare to Know: Our Narratives, Our Future” among fossils, scientists, and thousands of visitors. Hybrid options are available. Find out more here. 

Implement an event at Holzmarkt 25, our dedicated Art & Science FORUM

Join our curated Art & Science FORUM under the motto “Dare to Know: Creative Science, Precise Art” if you are organising an exhibition, a performance, a film screening or have another creative format which you would like to present. Discover more here. 

WHAT WE OFFER

  • We support you with advice on formats, suitable topics and PR to enable your desired outcome and maximise your reach
  • We connect you with fellow participating organisations to create synergies.
  • We provide branding materials and detailed instructions on how to expand your reach.
  • We coordinate, curate, and communicate the programme to the media and the public, and ensure visibility and awareness for your events through a wide range of activities. 
  • For the events at the CAMPUS and Holzmarkt 25, we also provide the required infrastructure and technical assistance.
  • We organise networking opportunities and facilitate knowledge-sharing between our participants.

FINANCING

We do not charge a fee for participation in the Berlin Science Week. However, you are financially and administratively responsible for your own events.

For the events taking place at the CAMPUS and in some of the Holzmarkt-venues, we charge a fee to refinance our infrastructure-related expenses. REGISTRATION

Registration for the Berlin Science Week 2023 takes place until 30 July. Until then, please reach out to us and discuss your ideas – the sooner, the better. Please note that the available CAMPUS and Holzmarkt spots are booked on a “first come, first served” basis. We reserve the right to curate our programme, in order to ensure maximum clarity for our audiences and the best reach for your events.
