UNIVERSITY:FUTURE FESTIVAL 2021
Open for Discussion
The most inspiring event on higher education in the digital age returns: The University:Future Festival will take place from 2 to 4 November 2021 under the motto “Open for Discussion” – organised by Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (HFD) in partnership with Stiftung Innovation in Hochschullehre (StIL).
For three days in November, more than a thousand people will meet digitally to discuss topics such as hybrid learning, diversity, artificial intelligence and future skills. The festival is aimed at everyone concerned with the present and future of academic education: Leaders, Teachers and students; activists and representatives from politics and administration; civil society and university employees; artists and scientists; EdTech founders and the press. With a bilingual programme (German and English) in many areas, the festival is open to both national visitors and guests from abroad.
The three-day University:Future Festival consists of four parts. What they have in common is that the program is largely fed by submissions from our community.
On November 2, the event kicks off with the EdTech part of the program, which is aimed at anyone interested in technical solutions. Here, visitors can try out innovative EdTech ideas and tools and get to know the people behind them.
Also on the afternoon of November 2, the Conference part will be the heart of the festival.
The Conference part of the festival continues on November 3. The program is largely made up of submissions from the community. Confirmed speakers include participation educator Marina Weisband, Federal Minister of Education Anja Karliczek, education journalist Jan-Martin Wiarda and the rector of FernUni Hagen, Ada Pellert. Have a look at some of our speakers below!
The festival ends on November 4 with the Workshop section, which creates space for longer and interactive formats.
