Mental Health for all: Global Action Plan on Dementia and Depression
How can mental health become a new global development priority?
Due to the ageing population, high comorbidity and late or erroneous diagnosis, millions of people globally are impacted by illnesses such as Alzheimer and depression – with upward tendency. While prevention and early diagnostics are crucial, new medication as well as therapeutic treatments need to be developed to improve the wellbeing of patients and support them with adequate and qualitative care.
This table will discuss how mental health can become a global development priority by setting new examples for treatments, improving the health systems, e.g. via political incentives, and increasing awareness within society.
This table is organised together with Biogen.
