CHOM5KY vs CHOMSKY: A Playful Conversation on AI
World Premiere in Berlin on 4 Nov 2022 at Berlin Science Week
A playful conversation on AI by Sandra Rodriguez
An unprecedented interactive experience presented at KINDL Nov. 4-20, 2022.
CHOM5KY vs CHOMSKY: A playful conversation on AI created by Sandra Rodriguez, is not so much an exhibition project, but rather an engaging virtual reality experience shared by visitors, inviting them to explore the promises and possibilities as well as the obstacles, pitfalls and risks of AI, and to critically question the automation of intelligent human behaviour.
Artificial intelligence is omnipresent: from image editing programs in smartphones to self-parking cars and a virtual assistant in the kitchen. The attempt to transfer human learning and thinking to computers and give them intelligence is a prominent phenomenon of our time. But what exactly is AI?
CHOM5KY vs CHOMSKY is an interactive exhibition that explores virtual reality, artificial intelligence and the work of the famous linguist Noam Chomsky. After successfully onboarding and putting on VR goggles, you are greeted by the Chomsky_AI – a captivatingly realistic artificial personality that guides you through the chapters and allows you to converse with it. The Experience can be discovered individually or in groups of up to four people.
CHOM5KY vs CHOMSKY is a Co-production between the National Film Board of Canada and the Studio SCHNELLE BUNTE BILDER based in Berlin, supported by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
