Uyen Nguyen

Uyen studied chemistry at the University of Cologne and received her Ph.D. in chemical biology from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Dortmund with Roger Goody and Herbert Waldmann in 2009. After her postdoctoral work in the lab of Tom Muir at Rockefeller and Princeton University, she joined Bayer AG in Berlin in 2014 as a laboratory head in the screening department. In 2020, Uyen transitioned to Nuvisan Innovation Campus Berlin as senior scientist. With her background in academic and pharmaceutical research, Uyen went on to take the role as Head of Scientific Marketing in 2022, thereby following her interests in combining science, communication, and marketing. Uyen has a published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, incl. Nature Chemical Biology and Nature Methods as first author, and is a co-inventor of a technology she had developed during her time at Princeton.
