Jens Kurreck ist Professor für Angewandte Biochemie an der TU Berlin. Er hat Biochemie und Philosophie an der FU Berlin studiert. Nach Abschluss seiner Doktorarbeit 1998 war er Postdoktorand an der Arizona State University in Tempe, USA. 2006 habilitierte er sich an der FUB. Von 2007 bis 2009 war der Professor für Nucleinsäuretechnolgien an der Universität Stuttgart, bevor er seine aktuelle Professur an der TUB antrat. Seine Forschungstätigkeiten fokussieren sich auf den Biodruck von Organmodellen, RNA Technologien, Virologie und Bioethik. Im Einstein-Zentrum 3R ist er Koordinator des Bereichs Kommunikation und leitet das Forschungsprojekt 3D-Bioprinting von humanen Organmodellen.

Jens Kurreck is full Professor for Applied Biochemistry at the Berlin University of Technology (TUB), Germany. He studied biochemistry and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin (FUB) and completed his PhD at the TUB in 1998. A postdoc at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ, USA, was followed by an assistant professorship at the FUB. From 2007 to 2009 he was Professor of Nucleic Acid Technologies at the University of Stuttgart before attaining his current position in Berlin. His research focuses on bioprinting, RNA technologies, and virology. At the Einstein Centre 3R, he is the coordinator of the communication area and leads the research project 3D bioprinting of human organ models.
