Dr. Paul Goslawski is working as an accelerator physicist at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin. He is responsible for operation and development of the lightsource BESSY II in Berlin-Adlershof and he really enjoys pushing particles in storage rings. Recently, he joined a HZB team with the goal to develop a concept for a BESSY II successor, an even brighter BESSY III lightsource that the HZB wants to build in the future.
Virtual Tour: through the accelerator BESSY II
We show, BESSY II and the particle accelerator itself, the heart of BESSY II, and how it all works.
In Adlershof, we operate the electron storage ring BESSY II, which generates a special light. Teams from all over the world come to us to study their samples with it.
Afterwards, our expert will be available for questions or discussion.
